Since its launch in 2004, Lansweeper has been developing a software platform that scans and inventories all IT devices, installed software, and active users on a network – allowing organizations to manage their IT centrally. The Lansweeper platform currently discovers and monitors over 80 million connected devices from 25,000+ customers, including Mercedes, Michelin, Liverpool FC, Carlsberg, Nestle, IBM, and Samsung, along with governments, banks, NGOs, and universities, driven by its 300+ strong team across the world.
As a fast-growing international SaaS company, we are looking for a legal professional, located in Belgium, with in-house experience in the IT sector to reinforce our legal team. In this position, you will act as a key advisor to our global business teams and provide the legal support needed for Lansweeper to run its global operations.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and advise on a wide variety of commercial agreements as well as further optimize our contract template base.
- Negotiate key enterprise agreements directly with external stakeholders like our customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Further optimize our contract template base and contract management processes.
- Provide pragmatic, business-oriented advice and guidance to our commercial teams on all legal-related aspects of business arrangements.
- Provide general legal advice on day-to-day commercial and legal issues as well as conduct legal analysis on such issues.
- Act as a trusted advisor for the organization, ensuring legal risk management and operational effectiveness in line with industry standard best practices.
- Work in close collaboration with our global departments to understand the product and business objectives and to streamline our legal activities across the organization. Participate in the implementation of contract management processes and exploration of legal tech solutions.
- Work on a variety of other topics such as data protection, regulatory compliance matters, corporate, or IP/IT law, and M&A transactions.
- You will report to our Legal Director based in Belgium and work as the counterpart of our Corporate Counsel Americas based in Austin, Texas.

I have (a):
- Master’s degree in Law.
- Excellent knowledge of contract law and experience in negotiating and drafting complex arrangements.
- At least 5 years gained as an in-house generalist counsel in a commercial international setting.
- Spoken and written fluency in Dutch & English.
Going for gold?
- LLM in IP and IT law.
- Specialization or experience in data protection.
- Experience in the software industry and/or scale-up environment.
- Knowledge of French
