About Us Lansweeper is rapidly expanding! Our specialized HR team is growing, and we're looking for a motivated HR & Payroll Specialist who thrives in a dynamic environment and is excited about the future of work with AI and automation.
The Role Based in our Merelbeke, Belgium office, as our HR & Payroll Specialist, you'll play a key role in enhancing employee experiences and streamlining the employee lifecycle.
You will also focus on managing and optimising payroll processes across Belgium and the UK, ensuring accuracy and compliance. While office management remains part of your responsibilities, it takes a supportive rather than central role.
As we integrate AI and automation into our workflows, we want someone open to learning and leveraging these technologies to improve HR and payroll efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & HR
Accurately process payroll elements including wages, commissions, and bonuses
Ensure compliance with Belgian and UK payroll regulations and social legislation
Lead initiatives to optimize and automate payroll processes to increase efficiency
Manage employee benefits programs and HRIS data maintenance
Collaborate on payroll system improvements and HR automation projects
Being part of various HR projects
Various soft HR responsibilities
Workplace Experience & Office Support
Support office management tasks such as supplies, facilities, and travel coordination
Assist with fleet management and car park inquiries
Partner with the event committee to enhance workplace culture
Monitor and manage HR and office-related expenses
Who You Are
Energetic and proactive, driven by a growth mindset, especially in HR/payroll process improvements
Comfortable embracing AI and automation tools, eager to learn and innovate without needing prior tech expertise
Detail-oriented with strong HR and payroll expertise, able to handle compliance and accurate processing
Effective communicator with cross-cultural competency, thriving in a global environment
Experienced with common workplace tools like Outlook, Slack, Zoom, and Teams
Qualifications
3+ years in HR support, payroll, or related functions
Solid understanding of Belgian social laws and payroll systems, with a desire to optimize these processes
Experience supporting office management activities (though less emphasized)
Willingness to work on-site in Merelbeke, Belgium
Proficiency in Dutch and English
