Job description

Context & Impact

This is a newly created role at Lansweeper — built for a moment, not a backfill. For 21 years, Lansweeper has been a fast-moving company that has reinvented itself multiple times. Now we're facing the biggest shift yet: the AI era. Engineering is already on the cutting edge of AI-assisted development and QA. Product teams are actively using Claude, Atlassian Rovo, and other AI tools in their daily work. What's missing is unified leadership to turn that distributed adoption into a coordinated, compounding product advantage.

As Head of Product AI, you'll own the AI product strategy and roadmap, lead a team of product managers focused on AI features, and define the AI product vision and positioning that will shape how Lansweeper evolves in the market. Reporting directly to the CPO, you'll be the connective force between Engineering, Data Science, and GTM — making sure AI isn't just adopted, but systematically embedded into how Lansweeper builds, ships, and goes to market.

Challenge

The main challenges you'll face are:

  • Greenfield leadership mandate. There is no predecessor and no inherited playbook. You are defining what AI product leadership looks like at Lansweeper — setting the vision, building the team's operating model, and establishing the discipline from the ground up.

  • Coordinating across a complex, fast-moving organization. Engineering is already advanced in AI adoption; GTM is evolving rapidly. Your challenge is to bring these functions into a coherent, aligned AI product motion without slowing down teams that are already moving fast.

  • Defining success in a discipline without established benchmarks. AI product management at this level of integration is still emerging across the industry. You'll need to build your own success metrics, investment frameworks, and evaluation criteria — and make them credible to leadership, investors, and the market.

Key Responsibilities

AI Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the AI product strategy and multi-horizon roadmap, translating Lansweeper's broader product vision into a concrete, sequenced AI feature agenda

  • Define and maintain the AI product vision and positioning — internally for alignment, externally for differentiation — in close partnership with the CPO and Product Marketing

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach and grow a team of product managers focused on AI features across Lansweeper's platform

  • Build a high-performance AI product team culture: rigorous in discovery, fast in delivery, and deeply connected to customer outcomes

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Engineering and Data Science to ensure AI features are technically feasible, well-scoped, and delivered with quality at pace

  • Build a sharp, automated interface between Product and the GTM organization — ensuring product context, competitive intelligence, and launch information flow cleanly across the boundary

  • Collaborate with Lansweeper's Operations and IT team to ensure AI product workflows are built on the shared company-wide AI and data foundation, aligned with security, governance, and enterprise standards

AI Infrastructure & Operations

  • Own and evolve the product organization's AI toolchain: configure product-owned tools, maintain a centralised product knowledge layer, and connect planning, analytics, design and communication platforms into a connected operating layer

  • Build and iterate on AI-powered workflows and agents for product operations: intake triage, PRD generation, status reporting, competitive analysis, and stakeholder communication

  • Monitor the evolving AI tooling and model landscape; evaluate new platforms and ensure Lansweeper's product AI infrastructure stays at the frontier

Measurement & Enablement

  • Define and report on AI product impact metrics: feature adoption, cycle time, decision quality, and business outcomes

  • Enable the product organization on AI-native ways of working — running workshops, building guardrails and documentation, and growing AI fluency across all product functions

Requirements

Hard Skills

  • 5+ years in product management, product operations, or technical program management in B2B SaaS, with a clear focus on AI or data-intensive products

  • Proven track record of owning an AI product strategy and roadmap in a commercial SaaS context — from discovery through delivery to GTM

  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML product development: LLMs, agentic workflows, orchestration platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier), API integrations, MCP, and/or vector databases

  • Experience leading and developing teams of product managers, with a track record of building high-performance product cultures

  • Deep familiarity with the modern product toolchain: Jira, Confluence, Pendo, Enterpret, or equivalent platforms

  • Strong understanding of the B2B SaaS product development lifecycle across discovery, design, development, delivery, and go-to-market

  • A portfolio, GitHub repository, or demonstrable evidence of AI systems or products you have built — we value demonstrated ability over certifications

  • Excellent English communication skills (CEFR C1+): able to write documentation, present to leadership, and facilitate cross-functional workshops with equal confidence

Soft Skills

  • Hands-on builder and systems thinker — you get into the tools, design the workflows, and make things work yourself before scaling through others

  • Thrives in ambiguity — energized by greenfield mandates, able to assess the landscape, identify priorities, and ship from day one

  • Equally fluent in technical conversations with Engineering and strategic conversations with the CPO — you switch registers without losing credibility in either

AI-Specific Skills

Lansweeper is an AI-native company, and this role sits at the centre of that identity. AI fluency here operates on three levels simultaneously. Day-to-day, you use AI tools actively across planning, documentation, analysis, and communication — not occasionally, but as your default operating mode. At the infrastructure level, you design, build, and maintain AI-assisted workflows and leverage Lansweeper's internal AI and data foundation to create compounding operational advantage across the product organization. Strategically, you provide senior oversight of how AI is embedded across the entire product org — setting the standards, sequencing the investments, and ensuring that individual team adoption translates into organization-wide capability. If you're still evaluating whether AI belongs in your workflow, this role is not the right fit. If you're already building at the frontier and want to do it at scale, read on.

Team Info

You'll join the Product organization at Lansweeper, reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer. You'll lead a team of 25 people and work daily with product managers, UX designers, product marketers, enablement specialists, and the partner ecosystem team. Engineering and the broader GTM organization are your primary cross-functional partners, with Engineering being the most immediate priority. Your primary infrastructure partner is Lansweeper's internal Operations and IT team.

Pay Transparency

At Lansweeper, every role is assigned to a level defined by three things: the expertise it requires, the complexity it involves, and the scope of impact it carries.
Each level maps to a salary band based on salary benchmarks from the Software/SaaS industry of your country, so your pay reflects what the market pays for comparable roles.
The gross salary range for this role is €107,000 – €174,000 (Belgium) or $163,000 – $264,000 (United States) (based on full-time employment).
Where you land within that range depends on the expertise you bring, the complexity you have navigated, the scope of impact you have owned, and your track record of delivering results in comparable roles — the same criteria applied consistently to every candidate.
We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, regardless of gender, religion, ethnic origin, age, sexual orientation, or disability.
