We are looking for a Financial Controller that will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity and stability of the organization. Reporting directly to the FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, in close collaboration with the Accounting team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic decision-making process and drive the company's continued growth and success in the dynamic SaaS industry.


A day in the life of a Financial Controller at Lansweeper:

Financial Reporting

    • Responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements & management reports in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
    • Key link between the FP&A and Accounting team: Reviewing monthly accounting closing numbers/provisions/accruals resulting in a proper monthly reporting deck
    • Identify trends, risks and opportunities for future improvement.
    • Present financial reports to senior management level and key stakeholders, offering strategic recommendations to drive business objectives.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Collaborate with the annual budgeting process: - together with FP&A Manager & Finance Director – Deep dive & challenge the department heads to develop accurate and realistic financial numbers for the upcoming fiscal year.
    • Analyze and monitor budget variances and provide proactive analysis to identify areas of concern or opportunity with the different business partners.
    • Implement a roll forward 12 month automatic forecast at the end of each monthly close based on latest estimates & trends.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

    • Conduct thorough financial analysis to support business initiatives, in line with the annual operating plan to help drive Revenue and profitability growth.
    • Evaluate the financial impact of potential mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic partnerships.

Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and legislations, including audits and financial disclosures.
    • Consolidate different legal entities in accordance with regulatory requirements
    • SPOC person in the FP&A team for external audit, in close collaboration with the Accounting team
    • Ensure proper revenue recognition in close collaboration with our internal Revenue Analyst

Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency through automation and technology solutions.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial performance and maximize profitability

Job requirements

Are you the new Financial Controller at Lansweeper?

Quantitative:

Master’s degree in Economics or similar and minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.
  • Revenue Recognition awareness
  • Internal Controls & Financial Audits
  • Foreign Currency Management
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication & proficient in Dutch & English

Other Plus

  • Experience with SaaS reporting & Metrics
  • Netsuite Knowledge

Qualitative:

  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Great problem-solving and has a hands-on attitude
  • Excellent communication skills fluently in English, both spoken and written
