Accounting Associate

About the role

Lansweeper is growing fast and we need a hands-on Junior Accountant to keep our financial engine running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations — from processing invoices to reconciling accounts — and play a key role in keeping our books accurate and up to date. Key Responsibilities

Accounts payable & receivable

• Process and verify supplier invoices, credit notes and expense claims accurately and on time

• Follow up on outstanding customer invoices and support the collections process

• Reconcile AP/AR ledgers and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

General ledger & month-end

• Post journal entries and assist with monthly closing activities

• Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded

• Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports

Administration & compliance

• Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records and filing

• Support VAT declarations, statutory filings and audit preparation

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth financial operations

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent. 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship or first job welcome).

• Good understanding of basic accounting principles.

• Proficient in Excel; experience with an ERP system (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Exact) is a plus. Accurate, structured and able to meet deadlines.

• Fluent in English; Dutch or another European language is an asset.

• Based in Belgium, with ability to work hybrid from our Ghent office.

Going for gold?

Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP. Exposure to a SaaS or tech company environment. Knowledge of Belgian VAT legislation. Interest in process improvement and automation.
