Fing is the #1 network scanner for mobile with more than 50 million downloads across its mobile and desktop apps. Fingbox, the hardware companion of the Fing app, raised $1.7 million on Indiegogo to meet the needs of our wide user base to secure and solve issues with their home networks. Our patented technology is used by top Internet providers and device manufacturers worldwide.

Fing is consolidating into a single platform to help people with their networks across multiple apps, website and appliances.

At Fing we are building a new way to consider the home network as an integral part of the domestic experience, including network security, consumer-grade troubleshooting and home protection.

What you'll do

  • Join an autonomous development team dedicated to creating a seamless user experience across mobile and web applications.
  • Collaborate with peers in product design, QA, cloud operations and embedded teams
  • Evaluate new frameworks and tools to help guide the future of the Fing app
  • Support the growth of the engineering team through thoughtful leadership and mentorship
  • Act as a thought leader when it comes to evaluating new frameworks and tools for the app

Job requirements

We're looking for someone who...

  • Has three or more years of iOS development experience, preferably using Objective-C.
  • Can show their code of published apps currently available in the app stores
  • Has experience with app performance optimization, multithreading, low-level networking
  • Knows Human Interface Design Guidelines and is aware of other platform’s guidelines
  • Can have high-level architectural discussions about how to grow the Fing app (familiar with MVP, Clean or MVVM and can evaluate the benefits of each).
  • Has a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Cares about testing and writing testable code
  • Is eager to share past failures and successes with previous designs and build new implementations
  • Enjoys simplifying and scaling build, test and deployment processes
  • Understands how to balance immediate product needs with long-term project health and maintainability
  • Follows the latest news and trends in the iOS communities
  • Appreciates good design and user experience
  • Is comfortable working with a fast-paced release schedule
  • Side projects, contributions to open-source projects
  • Has developed custom and reusable components
  • Familiar also with Android paradigms
  • Has worked to build consumer experiences

Living in Rome or nearby is mandatory
